Paroxetine - are there any survivors who no longer get waves? I cant lose another 4 years.

May 18, 2026··
Am I a sole survivor? Am I the only woman who has gotten off Paroxetine after 24 years I don't know...I haven't met one yet...I don't have any evidence that it is possible... Yes, tapering anything is shit. I have tapered opioids, stims, other antidepressants, and alcohol. Paroxetine is not the same. I have not found anyone through years of research who has gotten off this crap. I don't want to know about people who are still recovering, still have long term side effects, still get waves after years of stopping, are on another antidepressant...I want to find someone who has a solid year or more with absolutely no PAWS symptoms and is leading a full life...But I can't find anyone who has not been permanently disabled in some way by Paroxetine. I have cast my net very wide... Is it because those who survived went through litigation and have been silenced by the pharmaceutical company? Maybe. I know I am definitely going down that road once this is over. I spend hours a day on Reddit helping people taper from Paroxetine, and warning those who have just started it to STOP NOW! Every time I talk to a psych, they shut me down and stick their head up their ass into the "I'm a Dr, I study scientific evidence", bullshit. I am a scientist too... I spent 4 years at university studying science. The biggest thing I learnt was that science can always be disproven.... I have ADHD, and have a high IQ which allows me to look through a lens that is wider than a lot of Drs who follow evidence and protocol. I know that it is scientifically impossible to know all drug interactions... it is logistically impossible to do...if someone is on 5 medications, the statical possibilities of each interaction are endless. Then you add, age, sex, race, demographic, trauma, physical health, support, etc... It would take the entire population on earth thousands of years to study medications with randomized trials...Even then more hurdles would be found. So, how does anyone trust a doctor? How do you trust a Psychiatrist who has their head up their ass. People like seeing Psychiatrists who are over 60 because "they have more experience"....No they don't... They are close to retirement and want to cruise through. They don't bother with new research because they are uninterested. When does 4.5 years of suffering and days lost become too much. When do I just say enough...I don't know anyone who has suffered for this long. I am really thinking of just calling it quits. I am 50 this year, and I need to live.

Paxil — 2.5 — 24 years — reinstated | Mirtazapine — 15mg — 3 — reinstated | Valium — 2.5 — 7 months — actively tapering | without clinician

There is a woman on X who I believe has been able to get off Paroxetine. I sent her a message to find out more. Once I hear back from her I will let you know, okay?
