I had a look at your explanation of buspar / buspirone discontinuation. As I understand it is pretty low risk, still may want to stop halfway through from 20mg to 0mg at 10mg and hold for a bit due to slightly prolonged time taking it for exactly one year.
It's time this one has to go. My experience with buspar is somewhat crappy as it changes my functioning impacting my life (I guess) it is okay short-term and hard to manage long-term but it gave me side effects from week one. Your mileage may vary but this one is one of the worst I took and among those I take now. That is of course if I am observing myself correctly. But something suspicious is happening psychologically from week one that never ever happened to me before.
Prozac — 40 mg — 6 months — holding | Zyprexa — 20 mg — 6 years — holding | Depakote — 600 mg — 8 months — **tapering** | Buspirone — 20 mg — 8 months — holding | with clinician "If life is painful, start a rebellion and make it good."
