On August 6th, my jaw and neck lymph nodes swelled up, and a fever hit on the 13th with intense brain fog and symptom flares. The fever finally broke with heavy sweating, and today my temperature is back to normal and the fog has lifted a lot. My right lymph node is completely back to normal. The left one is still swollen, but there is zero pain when I touch it. Has anyone had a lymph node take an extra week or two to fully shrink back down after a virus? I'm planning to just wait it out and rest at home to avoid a stressful clinic trip. I'm continuing to strictly hold my dose, stay on my low-FODMAP diet, and rest up. I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I'll update again next Friday. Wishing everyone well

Hi DeNy! Thanks for the update. From what I understand, lymph nodes can stay enlarged or a few days or even a few weeks after an infection has resolved. The fact that your fever is gone and the brain fog is better should be reassuring to you. I think resting and avoiding extra stress right now is a good thing. Just keep an eye on the lymph node. If it gets bigger or becomes painful, or you develop another fever or other symptoms, it would be best to get it checked out. I understand why you don't want to make a clinic trip. If you ever had to though, you can always communicate your medication concerns up front (you could even put it in writing to add to your chart) and simply seek an evaluation of what could be going on. I'm really glad things have improved, and hopefully things will continue to settle down for you! 💕

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
