Zoloft

September 5, 2026··
Long story short, I went off of my Zoloft way too quickly on the lower doses and now I’m really paying for it. Everyone around me thinks it’s crazy that I would go back on it to taper slower but I think that sounds reasonable to me? I understand what they mean why would I put this poison back into my body when it made me feel like this? Not sure what to do. Worried about kindling.

I think that makes sense to go back on it and taper down slowly. It isn’t a race. You have to do what’s right for you.

I would reinstate and go slower too. I tapered too quickly and went back on. Let yourself heal slowly.

Paxil — 20 mg — 20 years. Went off now back on — holding
Trazadone 37.5 mg
Buspar 5 mg two times a day

If symptoms are unbearable, you definitely have the option to reinstate, but a very small amount is best. https://taper.community/thread/affd8e83-2361-4973-8f07-76d16744448a https://taper.community/resources/blog/reinstating-after-failed-cold-turkey

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Yes you can be on these meds while pregnant! But it is best to stabilize your dose before getting pregnant

Be very cautious with reinstating too high and also know it may get worse before it gets better with reinstatement.

Zoloft —50 mg to 15 mg — 8 years with a cold turkey and reinstatement in between— was liquid micro tapering, crashed at 14.275 mg and now holding at 15 mg.

It’s definitely up and down with reinstatement but let yourself stabilize before making another change.

Trazadone 37.5 mg

Hello! I’m a doula and was told Zoloft is considered safe for pregnancy. I’m interested in hearing where you found research otherwise? Either way, I totally get wanting to go off it while pregnant. I did that too, although I ended up going back on it since my PPA flared up after my third too.

Zoloft — 25mg — 6 years — actively tapering
