Why are there windows when tapering?
September 16, 2026··
I’m currently tapering Pristiq, and after the year mark I started feeing much better. Just in case you don’t know, this is called a window which is normally followed by a wave (low mood). But I’m wondering what the windows mean. Does it mean your brain is “in recovery” during this time? It’s incredibly frustrating because then a wave comes and you wonder if it was fake. Like you actually aren’t getting better. That’s my biggest absolute fear is not recovering and living with this for the rest of my life.
