When did most of you start feeling better/sleeping after an updose?
September 23, 2026··
It’s been 25 days of hell since my updose to 15 mg. Unfortunately, my sleep is getting worse. I used to sleep 1-2 hours followed by a 7-8 hour night out of sheer exhaustion. The day following a good night sleep I would have a window day. For about four days now, I’ve only gotten about 2-4 hours of sleep every night. The next day, I feel like the worst flu/hangover feeling almost like I’ve been poisoned. I started having depression and SI from the lack of sleep and so I went and did a ketamine infusion yesterday. It merely masked the feeling for a couple of hours but today it’s back after only sleeping 2-3 hours again. The SI and depression are gone though. My doctor wants me to take low dose gabapentin to help sleep until I’m able to adapt to the 15 mg dose. I’ve previously tried clonodine, hydroxicine, melatonin and ramelteon (prescription melatonin). None of them were very effective other than the first night so I stopped. I’m at a loss for words and just trying to survive minute to minute. Does anyone have any advice on using a short term medicine like gabapentin to help with sleep until I get to that five week mark? Also what was your experience getting your sleep back after an updose? Please looking for success stories to give me hope.
Zoloft —50 mg to 15 mg — 8 years with a cold turkey and reinstatement in between— was liquid micro tapering, crashed at 14.275 mg and now holding at 15 mg.
