Restatement or Updose Stabilization

Please need to some hope today. Today is another really bad wave day. I’m on day 15 of my updose to 15mg from 14.275 liquid taper crash. I’m now scared that I’m two weeks of holding and although I’ve had really good windows on the days after I sleep, the waves when I don’t sleep are still really bad where I feel like I’m being tortured every minute. Does this mean the updose isn’t working and I’m not stabilizing or is it just that I need to give it more time? I just can’t tell if this is an accumulation of withdrawal from my taper or if i’m kindled or if I’m just not adjusting to the dose yet. Please any help would be appreciated, living like this is inhumane.

Side note this has been going on long enough that I can’t even drive or work anymore because during wave days I’m in so much pain.

Hi Maria, I’m sorry you’re feeling so bad. I’m struggling a lot at the moment too. Were you ever stable on 15 mg and feeling well for a longer period of time?

Cymbalta — 15mg(12mg) — 17 Jahre — holding -with clinician - 90 mg – 2021: First tapering attempt.
60 mg – 2023: Second tapering attempt.
With a doctor's supervision—but unfortunately, a doctor who doesn't know how to properly taper off an antidepressant.

When I was liquid tapering I was at 15 mg a month before I crashed and was completely fine. I then kept microtapering .05 liquid every day and almost a month later crashed. So I had been down from 15 mg for almost a month before I crashed. The problem with the microtapering is gaging when is the last dose I actually felt good at.

I was struggling with similar issues most of my life. My days after my sleepless nights were always horrible. Try to settle your circadian rhytm by waking up early and schedule your days as much as possible in the evening try to get some quiet time before going to sleep. Sleep is the no.1 most important thing to settle your nerves. I still take a tablet to sleep though. If you dont work plan your days around your meals. If all else fails maybe you can consider a sleeping aid+sleep hygiene
