What are some of the remedies people have used to get rid of the jitters and headaches when decreasing from benzodiazepines?

Hi Debbie, I'm sorry you're experiencing these things. I thought you were only tapering Effexor. Are you tapering your benzo too? When was your last reduction - which drug and by how much? I use a heating pad. Some people find that ice works better. There are even migraine headache caps that you can wear where you can put ice packs in them.

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

I tapered my Effexor in May and I’m staying at 37.5 while I taper off the Xanax. I currently take .375mg’s (on my own) Effexor but I plan on asking my doctor to call a compounding pharmacist when I’m ready for the next taper the Xanax in a few months.
