I need your support (virtually) and advice (sort of)
as you know, I live in a senior community of 400 retired pastors, missionaries, academics, ad nauseum.
A National (USA) company provides our health insurance using our Medicare.. It comes with many wonderful benefits, including on-campus Dr.
After my experience in the hospital after a fall, the hospitalist looked at my medical records and decided to remove 7 meds I had been taking.. Two if those were SSRI's.
After 24 hours they sent me to skilled nursing where I languished for 12 days through 2 psychotic breaks, days of delirium and hallucionations, and much hand wringing by the staff, I was discharged to come home to my apartment.
I continued to (and still do!) recover from acute cold turkey withdrawal symptoms.
NO ONE!. until today has understood what happened or how it affected me.
it's insurance open enrollment here in CA.. I've been inquiring into my limited options.
Today, our awesome insurance company came to explain benefits for 2027.. With my newly inflamed CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM i tried to tell them how they had let me down.. Which led to a really good one on one with a person who asked me to give then another chance..
I said that I would if the Dr and the nurse practioner would apologize for dropping the ball in my care.
I'm meeting with the Dr tomorrow and need to unload on him how he has failed me, and ask him to apologize.
then I need to meet with the NP and do the same.
neither of them know what I've been through after I learned by myself what it is.. I've gas-lighted them.
Well, thats my scary story!
In my life, have been on Prozac, Wellbutrin, Amytriptiline, Ambien, Seroquel, Zoloft, pamelor, Nortriptiline, Clonazepam, Suboxone (for insomnia), Effexor, Valium, Trazadone, Zanax, and Gabapentin. These, I remember.
