How can we differentiate between withdrawal effects and a return to the initial condition?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to better understand the general mechanics of tapering, specifically regarding SSRIs. I’m trying to identify the most reliable "markers" to differentiate between Withdrawal Syndrome and a Relapse (Return of the initial condition).

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
