Hi I'm Polly,
I've been on Lexapro or Prozac for 32 years. I've been tapering since 4/26 and I've reduce my prescription by 14 mg
I've also been on 3200 mg of Gabapentin for 16 years and have reduced this medication to 1600 mg
I need help in finding a Clinician that understands tapering without charging a fortune for help
I need extra support and can offer support to those having a difficult time. - I have followed the hyperbolic method for both medications.
Lexapro — 16 mg — 32 years — holding | Gabapentin — 1600 mg — 15 years — holding | without clinician
Welcome, Polly. You can look for a clinician in the 'Find a clinician' area (you should see that in the menu to your left), and there's a video in several threads by a Dr called Dr Josef who works out the US and has a dedicated practice seeing people through tapering and WD - you can Google him or look him up on YouTube. There's lots of good info in the ‘Guides’ tab, the individual threads on the Tapering forum and educational stuff in the resources section, too. There are also some good threads about how to manage symptoms in the ‘Symptoms & Support’ forum. It can be worth reading up on the Surviving Antidepressants site as well (it’s no longer active, but still readable), as there’s a wealth of experience and knowledge there, as it was active for a long time. The most important thing is not to rush into anything; read up and settle in before starting to taper or going any further in your taper. Safety, and not speed, is the winning ticket.
