Hi i am Mahi. I have on bentab for over 3 years now. I have been trying taper from my 150mg taper. The first i took for a 37.5mg jump which was really too much for me. So i have been holding on to this dose for 2.5 months now. I am still not stable and really don’t know what to do. So yeah that’s why i am, to get some support, maybe solutions, and not feel so lonely in this process.
Effexor — 112.5 — 3 years — holding | without clinician
Hi @Mahi, welcome! Yes, that was a very large reduction. If you're not having any improvement at all, you could try increasing the dose a little to see if that brings any relief of your symptoms. The other option you have is to just keep holding until things stabilize. It can take much longer than we think it will, especially after a large dose reduction.
Let us know your thoughts. You're not alone in this!

Hi @Mahi welcome!
I did a hyperbolic taper, dropping every 4-weeks for effexor. I was technically tapering for longer than I was on it, so don't be afraid to go slow, eapecially the closer you get to the end.
