Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here after joining yesterday. So my story is as follows.I have been taking Effexor alongside Mirtazapine for over one month. This was prescribed by my Psychiatrist. After an intial 1 week period, after good results, my Psychiatrist decided to increase the Effexor to the "Therapuetic" 75mg.After 9 days, I found the side effects intollerable. He then reduced the dose back to 37.5mg.
For the first two weeks, this was good, few side effects. However, just over a week ago, I began experiencing intermittant blurred vision and difficulty focusing on close images.Example reading and loolking at my phone.
I called my GP as my Psychiatrist was not available. The GP was not concerned, stating that the blurred vision would gradually fade away over the next few weeks.
Today I sought another opinion from a GP who didnt seem sure what he thought. He said that the blurred vision was most likley from the medication or something anatomical with my eyes.He ruled out a brain injury and reccomemded I have an eye examination.
After a through examination from an Optometrist he concluded that the blurred vision had nothing to do with medication. He said it was a condition called Presbyopia. He wrote me a prescription for reading glasses.
So I now have three opinions and not sure which one to go with or believe.I'm seeking information from other forum users who may have experienced similar. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
