I stopped taking Zoloft about 6 months ago. Didn’t really have any acute symptoms. Went on with my life without feeling much of a difference. I also have a heart arrhythmia (could very well be from the Zoloft for all I know) so I was taking a beta blocker with the Zoloft for years.
At a physical my doctor recommended that I continue using the beta blocker to suppress some of the irregular beats and oh my what a mistake that was. Stress plus another drug that can pass through the blood brain barrier is apparently not a good combo when the brain is in a susceptible spot. Either way, I’ve welcomed the following symptoms into my life from one week on the beta blocker (now stopped).
- Waking up in a panic most mornings
- one night went from panic to nausea to profusely sweating in about 5 minutes.
- insomnia
- anxiety and major mood swings
It’s not always bad though. When I read about the waves and windows I was like YES that’s exactly it.
I thought I maybe need to reinstate and go slower, but at this point I assume the acute effects of the drug have nothing to do with it.
Once my brain heals, I’m done with this Zoloft scam forever.
Peace and blessings to you all,
AJNess
