I'm so sorry Jessica. It's so hard to know what's causing what sometimes. I think once you can rule out other factors that will give you a better idea. Many of the symptoms you describe are common withdrawal symptoms, so if they started after your dose reduction then they're most likely due to that and will get better as you stabilize at the lower dose. Another option would be to do a slight updose to see if it relieves your symptoms, but it would need to be done cautiously. Did the information I gave you about your various symptoms help at all? Hang in there Jessica. Things won't always be this way. 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Thank you, Based Clinician and Catina. I did updose back to the 87.5 because the 75 was too harsh a withdrawal. Many of my symptoms started before tapering. That’s why I began to taper because I feel like the medicine is hurting me. Usually the symptoms become more manageable as the day wears on and return at night. I need to document so I have a better idea of exactly what is happening when. I desperately need help. My doctor only gave me 2 refills of the lower dose and I am cutting pills to try to adjust on my own every night. Catina, Im not sure how to navigate this site yet and I don’t know where the “symptoms and support” or whatever it was called is. I have not been able to work in a week now because of this.

You're very welcome Jessica. Give it some time to see if it improves your symptoms. I really hope it helps.

This would be helpful. Document what time you take your drug and how you feel before and after. It can help identify if the drug is causing an adverse reaction or not.

Can you contact your doctor and make him/her aware of your situation? Maybe they can adjust your prescription.

Click on Forums and scroll down to where it says Symptoms & Self-Care. There are lots of helpful tips in there.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully your updose will make things better for you. ❤️
