1st Paxil Update - Feeling Bad

Feeling bad. Been having bouts of dizziness, nausea, fatigue, crying spells, emotional blunting, visual disturbances, flu-like symptoms, anxiety, and depression.

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

@Masha hi Masha! My initial dose is 15 mg for two yeards And now I’m at 9 mg since 21 days and Im in crisis since 4/5 days with all the physical and psychological symptoms. Anxiety very high, vomit and dirrhea. Cant eat. Nausea, burning skin, blurry vision, spasms, ruminations, obsessive thoughts and catastrophisation leading to panic attacks..

I’m so sorry …perhaps going to 9 from 15 is too big of a jump. Can you go back up a bit until you stabilize?

I could but I just refuse cause I will feel so sad that I wasted these bad days and all this suffering. I imagine it like postponing so what’s the point? I dont know if you understand my point … 😣

The suffering isn’t wasted in my opinion. It’s evidence that you may need to taper slowly. Please pay attention to that! You don’t have to suffer horrible symptoms to get thru a withdrawal. I did that and I regret it. Anyone else agree?

What you are describing is truly torment. This does not have to be that way. It’s not your only option.

Could you try a small updose to see if that stabilizes things a bit? How do you feel about that? Going from 15 mg to 9 mg was indeed a very large reduction. I'm really sorry you're going through this. You body is just reacting to having less of the drug in your system. You're not permanently damaged.

I slowly am hyperbolic tapering from 20 mg Paxil and now down to 1.8 mg…. I find going down10% from last dosage has been less torment on me… and do you have access to liquid Paxil or a compound pharmacy in your area?

@Heather21 wow. How did you manage to get the exact dose ? I am taking already the liquid form but it’s by drops. 1 drop = 1 mg. I tried to calculate that amount but im unable to get the exact dose like 8,1 or 7,30

Unfortunately i had to go up to 15mg again. Ive bee really miserable. Did anyone feel reaaaaally depressed to the point where you feel unable to do anything. Not even watching tv or scrolling? It’s been only one day since i got back to 15 mg ..
