1st Cymbalta Update - Feeling Very bad

glad you posted. though you are suffering, i hope it helps to learn that its simply your body adjusting to things. you are normal, your nervous system is normal, but it has been injured. keep posting, keep reaching out. we are here.

I have been on Duloxetine for 4 years at 90mg. Have had abad 4 years because I developed so many things Dysautonomia and everything that goes along with it including hypotension, syncope, dizziness, nausea, irritability, fatigue, falling a lot. I am so heat intolerant I wound up on my back in the parking lots of Walgreen's, Chedder's, doctor's offices. I have had and am having all of the above in 1st Cymbalta Update. When I started reading about Duloxetine I was agast and thinking this drug may have caused all of my problem illnesses. I also have chronic pain to the point I can only stand up for 3-4 minutes. Thank God when I am sitting or lying down no back pain. I now have an electric wheelchair my husband can put in the car. I have had so many doctors and I even went to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mi.. They determined I do not sweat except my face and head, among other things. Fell and broke my back. One doctor was great because he stopped my constant falling by putting me on pyridostigmine, after that when I would feel it coming I had a few more seconds to sit before I fell. That ment so much to me because I was really afraid to even stand up for fear of falling. Anyway on a Friday I decided I have to get off of Duloxetine because there were too many contraindications. I was taking a 60mg and a 30mg so I guessed i should stop the 30. Bad idea. Spoke with my doctors and they got me a Rx for a 20mg so now I am on 80 mg and that is a 10mg step down that is better than 90mg. But i do not know how to do the next step down. I go to doctor Tuesday. Am hoping someone here can tell me of a compounding pharmacy that counts the beads so i am tapering slowly.

I know its confusing to be in these situations! not to mention hellish! you will get support here and you will find the right help. It has taken me 25 years to finally find someone who would listen and help me get off. these days, there are several forums and doctors are more open. so don't give up! thanks for sharing with us. it helps us all!

Hi @Mary T, what you've been through is terrible! I'm so sorry. Yes, keep your doses consistent. You can begin a slow Hyperbolic taper off the Cymbalta. You can do this yourself by just counting beads.
