My Recovery Journey

Hi, I’m Arvin, a 39-year-old visual artist. I started smoking at 16 and quit about 6 months ago. I started using different drugs and alcohol around the age of 20, sometimes quite frequently, and I’ve now been completely sober from drugs and alcohol for almost 20 months. I was on escitalopram 10 mg for about 4 years and tapered off gradually over 7 months. I’ve been completely off it for about 1.5 months. I was also taking Wellbutrin 75 mg, which I stopped abruptly 16 days ago. I’m currently going through different waves—mood changes, physical symptoms, and periods where I feel noticeably better, followed by sudden changes again. I have a lot of personal experience with recovery and understand that these processes can come in waves, but I’d really appreciate advice or support from someone experienced who understands this kind of recovery process, especially if they’ve been through something similar themselves.
