It is very likely I will finally reduce my monthly dose of Maintena Abilify (for those who don't know it is a long acting injection that last a month) next week.
The psychiatrist is very open in this period to a reduction to 200 mg so half ampoule of the maximum possible dose.
I'm currently at 300mg and despite I'm happy for the reduction I'm little bit worried that it could be too much for my nervous system afterall it's a 33% reduction and considering when I passed from 400mg to 300mg there was some withdrawal side effects (but tolerable) this time could be to some degree worse and I don't know how much worse it could get.
Psychiatrist refuse to accept I could do an intermediate step like 250 mg so my question for you is: did anyone taper off from the injection? And how was your experience? Is there some advice you could give me given the injections are a new thing and there is little to no evidence on how to taper it off? Always considering everyone is different and have diverse reaction I would love to hear experiences on this.
Thank you so much for your answers eventually :)
