Hi, I'm Zsigmondus

I am tapering Seroquel. Been on it for bit more than 3 years. Started ketogenic diet for being overweight and a hope that I can reduce my quetiapine dose. I reduced my seroquel from 400 xr to 200 xr with 50 mg per month. I list 23 kgs as well in bodyweight. I expect that the reduction is going to be much harder as I approach 0 so I really would appreciate ideas from people who already quit or in the process. Anyway I was misdiagnosed with bipolar I had a serious autistic burnout with insomnia. Thanking you in advance for all the help. I am looking for ideas with the hyperbolic taper.

Hi @Zsigmondus, to Taper Community. You can read about Hyperbolic tapering in the Resources section on the left sidebar of the site. Yes, the reductions could get harder as you approach 0, so take things slowly and listen to your body. You're taking fairly large reductions, so you can always take smaller ones if need be. Make sure you're stable enough between cuts; you don't want to keep pushing through symptoms. I'm sorry for your misdiagnosis. It seems to happen to so many people. We're happy to have you here, and look forward to supporting you on your tapering journey off Seroquel! Catina ๐ŸŒธ
