Hi I’m a middle age women, who has been prescribed medications on and off over the past 26 years. I can see how they have negatively impacted my life creating situations for needing more medication's. Withdrawal effects and side effects created more situations without me recognizing that alit if the problems and issues I was having were started, created or compounded due to medications. I’d like to feee myself from being dependent on medications. I have alit if work to do in healing, repairing relationships and becoming stronger without the need of any substances. I hope to be encouraging and helpful to others. I’m hoping to learn what I need, be supported, and find resources as I navigate this journey which is not going to be easy. Glad to have found this platform. Thank you.

Hi @Wilde Goate, welcome among us! I'm fairly new here myself and was looking for the same things. What I found was solid advice, kind support, and the huge relief of not being alone on this rocky road. I can also relate a lot to your desire to cope with life's challenges in a different way, rather than "just" shutting them off with pills. I am optimistic you will find what you need here, too. Plus, just by opening up and sharing your realizations, you are already helping others. Give yourself a lot of grace and patience as you start unwinding this.
