Hi, I'm WellLovedinCanada

April 1, 2026··
I've been on Psych meds for 12 years. I started my taper exactly 1 year ago. I started at 80Mg of Lurasidone (Latuda).I'm now down to 22mg. I'm here because surviving anti depressants shut down. Even though my taper has been going wonderfully. I'd like to be supported and read others journeys.

Hi WellLovedinCanada, and welcome to Taper Community. I'm from Surviving Antidepressants too. This site is fairly new and is growing into something really special. Congratulations for getting down to 22 mg of Latuda! I'm glad your taper has been going well. We look forward to supporting you with the rest of your taper. We recommend you use the online Taper Tracker to log your dose and symptoms each day. It really helps keep a good pulse on things. I've personally benefited by doing this with my own taper of Effexor. Glad to have you here! Let us know how we can best help you. Feel free to read the Introductions thread where other members have introduced themselves. Catina ❤️

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg

Yes great to have you here WellLoved! It‘s so good to hear your taper has been going well so far, i think it‘s a good sign. Nevertheless i urge you to be more cautious in these lower doses, there _might_ be a point where receptor occupancy drops harsher aswell as withdrawl goes up. No prophecy but it‘s often experienced. So stay safe and share your journey with us! Wishing you the best of success, let‘s get this over together 💪👍

off Stimulants (2000-2013)
off Fluoxetine (2010-2013)
off Lamotrigine (2013-2016)
off Quetiapain (2016-2020)

currently Effexor — 33mg — 13 years (from 300mg) — actively tapering | with clinician

Hi WellLovedInCanada, welcome! I'm from Canada too, but in Guatemala at the moment. I tapered successfully off all psych drugs, now being psych drug for 7 years. It is possible! I'm happy to hear your taper is going well, and that you're taking your time. Let us know how we can help!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm doing a 10% reduction each month sometimes less. Sometimes after a reduction I may feel easily annoyed but after a week I go back to normal. My schedule has me taking another 2 full years before I jump off. I don't know if that is unnecessarily too slow but hey, I've got time and if all is going well really, why rush? I'm still learning my way around this app but that taper log seems very helpful. I intend to use it going forward.

Slower is faster! Giving your brain lots of time to adjust will serve you well. Keep up the great work! 😍
