Holding for nearly 10 months at 37.5mg because getting more waves than windows. Initial taper was too quick from 75 to 25 in 3 months so went back up to 37.5mg.

Hi @UKJohn....welcome! I'm tapering Effexor too. I previously tapered it too fast myself. What symptoms are you dealing with? It can take a long time to stabilize sometimes. I hope things improve for you soon. Keep us updated on how you're doing. Catina 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Hi Catina, thanks for your message. I hope you are doing well. Yesterday I felt flat but that was my only symptom and today I woke early feeling of dread now accompanied by a headache. I had none of these problems before venlafaxine. At some point I will have to continue with my taper but hoping for a window first🙏

Aww I'm sorry you're having a tough time. Venlafaxine affects blood vessels, so that's why I think it causes headaches. I had severe headaches for a long time when I missed a dose. Some people find that ice or heat helps. For me, a heating pad works great. You can see what works best for you. https://taper.community/thread/1addcf07-ac37-4443-8d0d-33685f5747f3 Just take your time and wait until you're fully stable and then you can begin to taper again. 😊
