I am currently on 20 MG of Viibryd and starting to research tapering. In 2012 I was taken off Pristique very quickly and lost 6 years of my life to extreme pain/suffering. Unfortunately I didnt realize it was protracted withdrawal and let my dr put me back on an antidepressant.

Hi Soespo, and welcome! Thanks for providing your history. Could you create a Signature for yourself that lists all drugs and dates. You can view mine as an example. This can be done through Settings > Add a Drug History (make sure you Save it). Please make sure to add when exactly you started on the Viibryd. Thank you! I'm really sorry you were tapered in such a rapid manner, which then led to protracted withdrawal. How have you been doing after being put back on a psychiatric drug? Did it make things worse, better, or not much different? Here is some clinical information about Viibryd: https://taper.community/drugs/viibryd Please have a look around the site. There is lots of helpful information about tapering and how to deal with withdrawal symptoms. Is there anything in particular you have a question about? We'll be happy to help! Catina 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

I’m also sorry for you having endured that pain. Venlafaxine-Variants can have very painful and long lasting withdrawl effects and most doctors are unaware of it. Would also be very interested in how you do now on Viibryd. As Catina mentioned, give us a better picture of your medical situations in the signature. All the best!
