introduction
Hi everyone… taking citalopram for 12 years because of anxiety disorder and depression. One year ago adhd diagnosis. This was a game changer. Since taking adhd medication anxiety and depression aren‘t anymore so hard. My Dr. convinced me to taper of citalopram. I‘m very afraid of it. So I started 3 month ago to decrease from 20mg to 10 mg. Until now no problems. But the next steps will be more challenging. So I‘m still in the planing with my Dr. how to taper as there is no liquid form. I hope I get some insights here how others deal with side effects.

Hi @Sa, welcome to Taper Community! We do recommend a monthly Hyperbolic taper of no more than 10% reductions from the previous month's dose. The reductions will therefore get smaller and smaller as time goes on. It's easier on the brain this way. Have a look around the site. There's lots of helpful information about how to taper and handle withdrawal symptoms. Let us know if you have any questions. https://taper.community/drugs/celexa https://taper.community/resources/blog/citalopram-celexa-withdrawal-guide Catina 💜

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Hi! I’m new here aswell. I haven’t started my sertraline taper yet, I’m finishing my propranolol taper first. I’m scared to of the low doses!! Remember that any symptoms you have are very likely to be withdrawal, just chemicals. Don’t lose hope you can do this!
