Hi, I'm Rossco

April 2, 2026··
I was on an SSRI 20 years ago. My father was "bi-polar" as was my brother and other family members. I have learned through lifestyle changes to remain stable and "connected" and would like to help others to achieve indepence from psychiatric "medicine".

Hi Rossco, thanks for joining in your adventure of helping others achieve independence from psych 'medicine.' They say 'mental illness' is in the genes, but I think we know better. Your approach of lifestyle changes to remain stable and connected is the right one, and would be helpful to others. Happy to have you here.

Hi Rossco! Welcome to Taper Community. People are conditioned to believe that psychiatric drugs are the only way to "treat" mental health issues, but that is not the case. Making lifestyle changes is so important. You'll surely appreciate the section we have on Metabolic Health! Looking forward to hearing more from your own experiences so others can benefit. ❤️

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
