Hi, I'm Razor

Started on Lexapro about 7 years ago and went from 5 mg to 20 over a few months. About 2 years ago I went from 20 to 2.5 mg very gradually. About a year ago I went to 1.25 mg for about a week and then stopped completely without issues until 6 weeks later when I experienced severe anxiety for about 6 weeks before raising the dose back to 5 mg. A few months ago I went from 5 mg to 2.5 without issues. Now I'm going to go very slowly to 0. I tapered off of Wellbutrin a few months ago without any issues. I am also on levothyroxine 75 micrograms and Liothyronine 5 micrograms as well as LDN 3 mg. I'm currently seeing a functional medicine MD.

Hi @Razor, welcome! What you experienced is very common regarding delayed withdrawal symptoms, especially if the taper was a bit too fast for what your CNS could handle. How long have you been back at the 5 mg? How is your anxiety now, has it improved? You might want to take things a lot slower this time. It's at the very "lowest" doses of these drugs where the greatest changes in the brain take place. Let us know how we can help! Glad to have you here. Catina ๐Ÿ’—

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
