Thanks @Catina. I did tapering from 100mg > 75mg > 50mg > 25mg. From 100mg till 50mg, I was going good. The last part of 25mg is troubling me but I am determined so I am here gather experiences from others. I am currently seeing a psychologist and will discuss with my doctor if I should move to some other drug for easy tapering.

From my experience, the safest way off a drug is to slowly taper it instead of bridging onto or adding another drug. Sometimes it can make things worse, and then you're left with another drug you have to taper off.

@Catina, I am on the lowest dose of pristiq. There is no lower dose than this, and since it is an extended-release tablet, I cannot cut into half. I am stuck here. I don't know how to proceed. Online research I did suggested Prozac, but I am unaware of the dosage to start with, and I don't want to start it without consultation from an expert.

I’m just sticking my toe in here to suggest that you read here about hyperbolic tapering. What it suggests is that the last small dose is the hardest.. that’s why we need to find compound pharmacies or other means to receive that last doses in minuscule amounts. I live in the USA and my doctors have never heard of this. They go by what the pharmaceutical company recommends, which proves to be detrimental to many of us.

In my life, have been on Prozac, Wellbutrin, Amytriptiline, Ambien, Seroquel, Zoloft, pamelor, Nortriptiline, Clonazepam, Suboxone (for insomnia), Effexor, Valium, Trazadone, Zanax, and Gabapentin. These, I remember.
Currently on,Duloxetine 60 mg — 2 yr — holding | without clinician

@Peggy Wallace I live in India. Here also doctors are least interested in stopping the anti depressants. I have been to multiple doctors who tell me that I will have to take Pristiq my entire life. That's when I decided to take things in my hands. Recently I discovered a doctor who says he can help. I have my appointment with him next week.
