I have been on Abilify 2mg for more than 4 years. I have been actively tapering since April 2026, and got down to 0.75mg by late August. My psychiatrist took me off this dose abruptly, and I am now going through withdrawal. I would like support and a medical professional to help me work through this taper. -Niall

Welcome to the community! Sorry to hear about your withdrawal because of what seems like a not well informed medical professional! Did you reinstate to 1 mg? Definitely give yourself enough time to stabilize before tapering. I hope you'll find good professional help and support!

Hi @Niall, welcome! I'm sorry your doctor abruptly took you off Abilify. Are your symptoms tolerable? You have the option of reinstating a small amount to stabilize you so you can taper more slowly. On the other hand, you'll eventually heal with time. It's up to you. Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.28 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Synthroid - 25 mcg
