Hi, I'm mothra

introduction
How nice to find this website! I'm a 33 year old woman who was put on 75mg Effexor XR for night sweats nearly a decade ago (it never helped!). Many a time I have been late or missed a dose and the withdrawals I've experienced are worse than any other I've had (I take a lot of medication). To make things even more complicated, I have muscular dystrophy and use a wheelchair full time. Saying I am wary about tapering would be putting it lightly, but I just can't see myself on this drug forever. It's a very daunting thought, as is the idea of tapering... which is why, when I stumbled across this site, I was immediately interested. I don't have a taper plan by any means, but making an account here is a psychological first step in that plan.

Check this out: image I too have been affected when missing a dose of Effexor, which is why I'm slowly tapering off. There is lots of helpful information here, so have a look around and let us know how we can help. There are lots of members tapering Effexor here.
