Hi, I’m Molly. I am currently on a hold from tapering sertraline, which I was prescribed aged 16 for social anxiety. I tapered from 50mg to 18.75mg but with linear reductions, which eventually resulted in withdrawal. Soon I will begin a hyperbolic taper. I’m searching for hope.

How long have you been holding your dose, and how are you doing at the moment? I'm glad to know that you're taking some time to pause and stabilize before continuing.

There is every reason for you to have hope that you can successfully taper off! The key is to go slow enough to allow your brain to adjust and to listen to your body. Unfortunately, this process can't be rushed. But you can do this, and we'll be here to help you along the way!
