I am 34 years old, an electrical engineer. I have been using psychiatric medications for eight years, but intermittently. I suffer from severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, which is hereditary.

It can show up in families, though I tend to think the picture may be bigger than heredity alone, including environment and survival patterns. Just something I think about for all mental illnesses.
