Hi, I'm Miriam Meshchaninov

Hi @Miriam Meshchaninov! Welcome to Taper Community. Yes, sometimes these drugs can "poop-out" and lose their effectiveness over time. I'm sorry you had a negative experience in the past with trying to taper too fast. It happens to so many of us. If you take things slowly this time I am confident that you'll be able to successfully taper off the Prozac. Slower is faster in the end. You can learn about Hyperbolic tapering here: https://taper.community/education Here are some links that I hope will help you in your tapering journey: https://taper.community/drugs/prozac https://taper.community/thread/d41182b4-060b-4c2e-a1e8-da9e6777d7e5 https://taper.community/resources/blog/how-to-taper-off-prozac-fluoxetine For any symptoms you experience, you can search for them at the top of this thread: https://taper.community/forums/symptoms-self-care We look forward to supporting you on your tapering journey off Prozac to live a life free of psychiatric drugs!
