Hi @Miriam Meshchaninov! Welcome to Taper Community. Yes, sometimes these drugs can "poop-out" and lose their effectiveness over time. I'm sorry you had a negative experience in the past with trying to taper too fast. It happens to so many of us.
If you take things slowly this time I am confident that you'll be able to successfully taper off the Prozac. Slower is faster in the end.
