Hello. I´M Maria I am Psychiatrist in the public health sevices in Madrid (Hospital Alacalá de Henares) I am currently helping pacientes to taper medicatiosn and i want to learn about others tapering experience to help my patients
i`ve never been trated but you never know....

Safely getting people off of psychiatric drugs is something that most doctors have not been trained to do. The current "guidance" on how to do it is oftentimes too fast for people and can cause harm. Please check out the Learn section to read about Hyperbolic tapering. Also, I suggest you purchase a copy of The Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines.
Thanks again for being here and wanting to learn more. We're glad this subject is getting more attention. Patients deserve to be given a safe off-ramp for any drug they wish to discontinue.
