Hi, I'm going to see my doctor on the 30th to discuss tapering off Depakote. I've been on it almost 9 year's. I got sick not long after I started it. We had no idea what was happening, just that I was suddenly going down hill fast. Started falling, severe dizziness, nausea, having trouble remembering things, couldn't pronounce words, had trouble finding words I was trying to say. I even started going to a neurologist. Found a 3.5 cm cyst on the left side of my brain but the neurologist said that wasn't causing my problems. I've been going to multiple doctors to find out what was wrong. I figured it out myself. It's the depakote. So now I want off it asap.
