I am just starting Sertiline. Been on it about 14days. I was to go up to 25 after one week. I did jump to 25 but the side effects were so bad I had to go back to 12.5 after just one day on the higher dose. I'm hoping to just stay at 12.5 for the next several months. I am almost 90 so I think my age has something to do with the higher dose. I hope to learn about this drug through others experiences and what to expect when I taper off.

Hello & welcome! Staying at the 12.5 dose for now seems sensible, you listened to your body not dealing well on 25 mg. How are you feeling now?

Zoloft — current 2.8 mg — 6 years — actively tapering - tapered from 50 mg

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
