I also want to taper olanzapine. I take 2.5 mg and my psychiatrist is not helpful at all. I was told to cut it in half, but that doesn't work as I cannot sleep at all. I am on 3 other sedatives for severe insomnia. I don't know how to taper this as the pills are tiny and can't be cut even in 4....

Can you take a razor blade and shave off tiny amounts and then weigh the pills?

Do you need help discussing it with your doctor? https://taper.community/thread/dbb2cdbb-bb3d-4bb9-93ab-b33de4a3fd0b https://taper.community/resources/blog/how-to-talk-to-your-doctor-about-tapering Maybe upon discussing it with them they'd be more open to prescribing the liquid version? That will be your best bet with trying to taper smaller doses.
