Hi, I'm JC11

Tried unsuccessfully to taper off Effexor on and off for 2 years, used Prozac bridge and finally after 7 months made drop to 0. Still experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Holding Prozac at 10 mg (originally 20). Looking for help coping with dysautonomia symptoms

Hi @JC11, welcome to Taper Community! What exact symptoms are you dealing with? The Symptoms and Self-Care section of the forum has lots of information and tips. We look forward to assisting you in any way we can. It might be wise to hold your current Prozac dose for awhile until things improve a bit. Catina ❤️

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Hi there, thank you for your response! I made my final drop from Effexor in June, in August I started experiencing a variety of symptoms - orthostatic intolerance, extreme hunger/sugar crashes, and elevated heart rate. I’ve had exercise intolerance since I got to about 7 beads but it’s gotten really bad (I crash with even the smallest bit of physical activity). I’m assuming everything is withdrawal related, but not sure how to cope with it all beyond resting and drinking lots of fluids

Hey there, thanks for that information. I'm sorry you're going through all of those things. The nervous system can go a bit haywire until it can figure out how to work normally again. It sounds to me like it's all withdrawal-related. You're doing the right thing with not pushing yourself past your limits. Your body needs plenty of rest so it can heal. Use caution with trying to "fix" your situation with certain supplements or other things: https://taper.community/thread/57d0fb51-6e6e-4517-9d3d-1dd2f2e3880c It can take the body quite a while to reach homeostasis again, so be patient and gentle with yourself during this process. 💝
