introduction
Hi, I’m HannahHiggs23, and I’m actively tapering from Lexapro. I was on Lexapro for 1 year and 2 months before I started my tapering journey. Reasons for tapering were fatigue, emotional blunting, loss of libido, and just general inability to get excited and be happy about life. I heard about this community from another tapering group on Facebook- Lexapro Withdrawal. I am needing support for how to taper properly and what to expect at lower doses.

Hi @HannahHiggs23, welcome to Taper Community! Nice to have you here. I understand why you desire to be free of Lexapro, and you're doing the smart thing by arming yourself with knowledge about what to expect. Have you been tapering Hyperbolically so far? When was your last reduction and by how much? The greatest changes in serotonin receptors happen at very low doses, so it's best to taper off to the tiniest amount before jumping to 0. Check out this SERT Occupancy chart: https://taper.community/thread/sert-occupancy-chart-for-ssris-snris-2bbbb319-9fe4-4f7b-95b9-5bfe38de76f6 Many people find they need to slow things down at the end of their taper. Here is the Lexapro forum where you can find others who are tapering it.
