On Zoloft for 3 months during medical leave for ptsd. Don’t wish to continue forever. Doc wanted me on 50mg but I was mostly on 25mg or 37.5mg. Look forward to feeling again - went from 50 to 37.5 to 25 within 2 weeks as I was only on 50mg for ten days but I plan to take it slow - and eventually get a script for liquid Zoloft. It’s crazy how easy it is to get on the meds and how weird it is to titrate off. Am also taking 12.5 trazodone a night - was prescribed 50 but only did 25mg as the highest dose because I never wanted to stay on anything long term

Trazodone since 5/15/26 - 25mg on and off for 4 months - now on 12.5 most nights
Zoloft since 6/1/26 - 25mg (up to 50mg but only for a month total)

Hi @Greta, welcome! Which dose are you currently on right now? You'll want to keep that dose consistent as you taper off. If you're not familiar with Hyperbolic tapering, you can learn about it in the Resources section on the left sidebar. In a nutshell, you'll want to taper by no more than 10% each month from the previous month's dose. Therefore, the doses will actually get smaller and smaller the closer you get to zero. Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

I wish it was easier to cut the 50mg pills I have. I am fine on 25mg Zoloft and 12.5 Trazodone and will follow advice for tapering. It’s so crazy it takes so long to taper. And I have only been medicated since May 15th 2026.

You can either use a razor blade to shave off a portion or you can crush the whole thing and then weigh what you need. https://taper.community/resources/blog/dry-cutting-tablets-for-tapering
