Hi I’m Egor, I suffer from bipolar 2. I’m looking to taper off my meds and while following a ketogenic diet. I’ve been on 3 meds (olanzapine, lurasidone, aripiprazole) for 3 months and experienced side effects which I’m hoping to remove by tapering off

Zyprexa — 10mg — 3 months — researching taper | Latuda — 40mg — 3 months — researching taper | Abilify — 5mg — 3 months — researching taper | without clinician

Do you have the liquid form of abilify available in your city? Which side effects are you facing ? I'm curious, what led your doctor to prescribe three different antipsychotics initially? Did they mention if your symptoms were treatment-resistant?

When dealing with multiple drugs, it's best to taper only one at a time. Is there one that is giving you the most difficulty? Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

@Egor Hi ! Seems like we share common problems : Bipolar, Olanzapine, Abilify. I personally currently plan to taper Olanzapine again. It's been hell going down from 30mg. Make sure to keep us updated frequently ! Seems you are not that long on these drugs. Taper shouldn't be that harsh. How is your taper planned out ? 🙂
