Hi, I'm Dominic
May 15, 2026··
Hi, my name is Dominic. I've been tapering off of Cymbalta (duloxetine) for close to two years now after having been on it for now 6 years. I am currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. A large motivation for that has been the research that has been found about hyperbolic tapering made available in the Cymbalta Hurts Worse Facebook community that has recently been taken down. I am highly interested in using my developing skillset to help reinforce the institutional development of de-prescribing practices. Spaces to connect with other individuals who share the same experience and framework of support is integral/a necessity to our healing and recovery from psychiatric and other medications. I have performed programmatic research through algorithmic modeling that seeks to depict and aid in proper tapering protocols and also exposes areas for improvement in current regimens. I'm excited to learn more about everyone's individual experiences because I know that if we're going to do this, we're going to do this together. I'm really grateful that this space exists for us, and I am sure that it will be incredibly helpful as I finish my taper (with an end date in January 2027). Thank you for reading my story!
