Hi, I'm Dolllie
July 29, 2026··
Hi, was on 50mg zoloft for 30 yrs. Began 6mo taper 9/2025, 50mg to 6.25mg, completely stopping zoloft 3/1/26. Big mistake, I wasn't prepared for what followed... protracted SSRI withdrawal: Massive Anxiety, CNS issues, autonomic nervous system issues, rage, insomnia, 'freezing' episodes and more. Early 6/26 BP spiked... added Buspar and trazadone. Helped tremendously with anxiety. Protected my heart. But then the pain started. All my arthritic joints with arthritis or previous injuries (67 yr old woman) were not only stiff seemingly over night, but now I instantly suffered hyperalgesia, pain... all the time. Towards end of June 2026 finally found NP willing and seeming capable of helping me reintroduce zoloft at 2.0mg/day to then begin hyperbolic taper off of zoloft.
For 18 days I dosed 2.0mg liquid zoloft. Then I finally said I was done. I simply couldn't continue this current hell I've been in.
So increased to 5.0mg zoloft 6 days ago. Initially for 4 days I began to feel like myself again... less agitation, sleeping a bit better, pain reduced, brain fog started to lift. Then BAM! Pain is back! Mind is not functioning. Muscle cramps waking me from sleep, etc.
I'm not even sure if going back on a therapeutic dose of zoloft is going to work for me.
I came across this forum by chance.
