Hi, I'm Desiree

August 16, 2026··

I am tapering from Amusilpride, Lamotrigine and Trazadone. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar 2 and have been on meds for four years.

Hi @Desiree, welcome to Taper Community! We're so glad you're here so you can learn the proper way to taper off your drugs. I'm so sorry about your misdiagnosis. It happens to so many people unfortunately. When dealing with multiple drugs, it's best to taper only one at a time. You can read about Hyperbolic tapering in the Resources section. Do you have any specific questions? Let us know and we'll be happy to help! We look forward to supporting you on your journey off psychiatric drugs. Slow and steady wins the race, so keep that in mind! Catina 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
