They're not very knowledgable when it comes to tapering and withdrawal-related issues. Tapering this way makes it easier on the brain because the doses actually get smaller and smaller the closer you get to zero. The greatest changes in serotonin receptors happen at very small doses. If you take things slowly you should be fine. People run into issues when they taper too fast and push through symptoms. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
