I've been on Lexapro for 2 years, from 5-10-20mg. I am down from 20 to 10 currently and holding steady. The Wellbutrin and Buspar are a different beast. I've had terrible side effects from Wellbutrin, it's like every emotion I have is turned up to 1000. Way too stimulating. I've taken it for a month and at my clinicians suggestion I'm stopping the 150mg and tapering traditionally. All of these changes have come about within the last couple of months, and I am absolutely and unequivocally burned out. My mind is never quiet anymore. In fact, it's worse than before I started any of these medications by 100 miles. I love the idea of being able to interact with like-minded people who are dealing with something similar, and this sounds like the perfect place to me!
Lexapro — 10mg — ~2 years — actively tapering | Wellbutrin — 150mg XL — 1 month — actively tapering | BuSpar — 15mg/Day — 1 month — actively tapering | with clinician

Hey Dalton! Thanks for joining us. Youre right, having a place to interact with likeminded people is paramount.
Take your time with the cuts and one at a time. Youll reach your goal in due time! What you said about feeling worse on the medications than off it, i totally understand. Many people feel the same way. Theres nothing we can do unfortunately other than taper and spread the good word.

I had similar effects from Wellbutrin when I was on it. It was entirely too stimulating. Antidepresssants in general can be activating. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. When dealing with multiple drugs, it's best to taper only one at a time. 👍 We're happy to have you here and look forward to supporting you through your tapers! Catina 🩷
