Îm 64, tapering since March 2024 from Effexor 150mg.
I am back at 75 mg since end of august 2026 after taperings probably too fast in April and June. I began tapering at 10% and rapidité switch to 5% every 2 months or so... I think I had many problems with my scales and my doses were probably not the same from a day to another for weeks or months ? I expect to find people who might have been in the same situation. I m also exoecting to read and participate in discussions about what we live !

Welcome Christine. Going back up to 75 after a rough run of cuts isnprobably a good idea. That dose instability alone can wreck a taper, so you are in good company here.
Worth logging check ins under My Taper as you go, you will spot the pattern fast and have something solid to show your prescriber.

Hi @christine thibaudeau, a warm welcome to you! Nice to have you with us. There are plenty of people tapering Effexor, me included. This can be a very challenging drug to taper. I'm glad you've slowed your taper down. I'm moving at a snail's pace, but it's all that I can handle. I do bead counting for my own taper, and it works pretty well.
