Hi, I'm Chocolate and Chip

June 2, 2026··
I’m 4 years off a too rapid and ill advised taper of Ativan, taken as prescribed for 6 months. Still healing but making progress. Finished a very very slow taper off of 25 mg Zoloft six months ago. Now tapering from four years of trazadone. My psychiatrist is retiring and I really really don’t want to find another one. Not sure where to go next and looking for some community support.

Hi Chocolate and Chip....welcome to Taper Community! Congrats for getting off two psychiatric drugs already; that's no minor feat! When is your psychiatrist retiring? You'll need to be able to get your prescription somehow so you can continue your taper. Do you have a GP that could prescribe it for you instead? Looking forward to supporting you through your taper. 😊 Catina 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
