Thank you so much. I’m very glad to have found this, wish I had earlier in my taper! I started tapering in July, went from 50 to 25 and actually felt a bit better. My physician provided their standard direction which was 25 every day for two weeks, then 25 every other day for two weeks then stop. I knew from my previous experience going off of cetalopram that was a recipe for a nightmare. I found a compounding pharmacy to provide liquid so that I could taper very gradually. I had mild/few symptoms until I hit 12mg then really started experiencing extreme fatigue and emotional vulnerability. I held at 10mg for a while to stabilize. On Thursday last week I took my last 1mg dose. The drop from 1mg to zero got really rough on day 4 after stopping. Navigating extreme fatigue and nausea. It is very helpful to be able to track symptoms here. I understand that I am in a stage that is commonly difficult. I am fortunate that I have been able to take sick leave while I go through the worst of it. It is also helpful to hear the experience of others, and feel validated. Very appreciative. It has been quite a process, and I have a lot of thoughts about both my taper and being prescribed Zoloft in the first place. I also have previous experience going off of cetalopram that was horrific. Perhaps will share sometime, if I feel able.
