Hi, I'm Asher

Started Klonopin 6 yrs. ago at 0.5mg twice daily. During my time on that dosage, I would very often skip the evening dose. No one warned me about the dangers of long term use..in fact, it was basically pushed on me by the State run Mental Health Department here. About a year ago, I developed a tolerance. My "case worker" suggested I enter a 5 day rehab run by the same State agency. This was a disaster. I spent 2 weeks in there and came out on 1 mg twice daily. Their "detox" doubled my dose. Recently, I developed a tolerance to the new dose and decided enough was enough, so I'm attempting to taper off. Unfortunately, I'm doing so under the guidance of the same State Mental Health Dept., and naturally, my confidence in these "professionals" is not high. I feel I'm being tapered too quickly, and they have the nerve to keep pushing me to go back to their rehab. My last reduction was from 1.5 mg to 1.25mg daily. Its going to be a rough ride.
